The Rebbe To become the presiding Rav...

"The Rebbe once told me he would like become the presiding Rav in a certain communty with authority to decide legal and ritual matters. I explained to him that I had all kinds of doubts and anxieties about giving halakhic rulings, and that I was extremely nervous and wary about entering this field. "What is there to be worried about?" he replied, "So long as you have words, if I were to be confronted with a case requiring a ruling and my inclination was to rule it Kosher, so as long as there was a authoritive halakhic source for me to depend on in support of my ruling, I had no need to concern myself with fears that the ruling should have been different, even if there were dessenting opinions."
-Sichot Mohoran-

The editer of my english version has a nice little note here... which I have intentially left out. I am not interested in The editers comments only in what The Rebbe says. Here is somthing to remember....

"God does not rule over His creatures with tyranny" ( Avodah Zarah 3a) (There is nothing that you absolutely must do or else. If you can, you can. But if you cannot: "God exempts a person under duress" ( Bava Kama 28b) .)
 - rebbe Nachman-

I read this somewhere it said that.. we should be careful not to fall into stringincies, and thinks of the like... The way the evil inclination works is to make us at first to believe the action we are to do etc.. is righteous, and in doing that supposed "righteous" thing ,then the evil inclination leads us further in away into it's pit. We must recognize his schemes and so act accordingly. Fanaticism never leads anywhere positive. The truth is those we look at seem them, as great tzaddiks and say of them they were fanatics, certainly they were not! It is only we fail to see there total balance with our blinders on.. If were to look we would see clearly that they were very much balanced. Be careful not to sit on the seat of judgment, and do what is right in the sight of the Lord. Things arent always as they seem.

For each person, He should listen and take care to pray to Hashem about what is right for him. Rebbe Nachman here seems to be saying walk on the more leninent side of things, if there is a authority to support it... use it... As long as you have a authority t rely on, then you have nothing to worry about. Just my opinion. In  much love, Nanachs!

Please comment if you have a thought suggestion or somthing to say in rebuttle please share.

Pz and love to you all
